Uni-Professor at Qingdao University in area of EV-Motor & Battery systems (m/w)Qingdao University
Qingdao University is a comprehensive university in Qingdao City, China, which has a history over 100 years. It comprises of 25 colleges, 73 specialties with undergraduate programs covering literature, history, philosophy, law, economics, management, natural sciences, engineering, medical science, education, etc. There are 25 provincial key disciplines, laboratories, and engineering research centers, and 66 specialties with doctor and master programs. We have 2,000 teachers, including one member of Chinese Academy of Science, two members of Chinese Academy of Engineering, and another 7 external academicians, 281 full professors, 868 associate professors.
The Research Centre for Electrical Vehicle (RCEV) of Qingdao University is an independent research body and financed by the Qingdao City. Till end of 2014 there are all together 46 employees at RCEV, among them 22 are full uni-professors. For big amount of national and industry research and development projects in the area of EV, we search qualified candidates for uni-professor in research direction of power & battery Systems of electrical vehicles.
Your tasks
As uni-professor at RCEV following research work belongs to your responsibilty:
• Leading international team for EV-Motor & Battery research and development
• Coordination with China national ministries, the province and the Qingdao City for their funded research projects at RCEV and responsible for project management
• Team work with Chinese and international automobile manufacturers and OEM partners in the research projects over electrical vehicles
• Responsible for e-motor ECU and battery manage system (PACK) development for Chinese EV manufacturers BYD, Jerry, BJEV etc
• Responsible for project plan, organization and carrying out in view of function, law, manufacture possibility and economical aspects
• Strategy development and further development for team work at RCEV is also your responsibility, communication and negotiation with customers, suppliers and other international research institutes and bodies
Your Qualification
• Ph.D. degree from an international famous university in direction of electrical vehicles, automobile technology, motor controlling technology
• Fruitful paper publications in international known magazines and patent publications
• Ideal with experience on team management, project management
• Work/research experience in EV area, specially for e-motor and battery pack
• Communication skills in team work willing
• Ability to understand, describe and reduce complex system in basic scientific and technological problems
• High motivation, willing to learn new technology and solve technical problems
• Good English language (speaking and writing) skills, ideal with Chinese language knowledge
• Oral ability to give lessons to university students

As uni-professor (Class I, II, III, IV and V) there are defined policies at Qingdao University. It’s possible for Qingdao University to provide free apartment, research fund and lab instruments and accessories.
