很多网站把这首歌的名字叫做Lambada，这是不对的，Lambada不是歌名。
实际上，博大精深的巴西舞蹈并不只是桑巴，还有Lambada。Lambada是一种发源于巴西东北部巴依亚省的一种舞蹈。小罗纳尔多便是桑巴和Lambada的业余高手。1990年第33届的格莱美奖（Grammy），就有Lambada舞曲专辑 Timbales获奖。
今天所贴的这首歌的名字实际上是葡萄牙语的LLORANDO SE FUE，中文翻译为是“哭泣的离开者”。该曲源于玻利维亚的印加音乐，本来是很忧伤的曲子，后来被翻译成葡萄牙文并加以改编，加上了强烈的节奏和巴西融合爵士的元素，使它失去了它原有的印加风貌，成为现在的样子，欢快而富于节奏感。现在这首歌已成为Lambada舞曲的代表曲目。
关于演唱者Kaoma（卡欧玛）的说法目前有两种。一种说法是Kaoma是一个乐队组合，成员来自世界各地，他们在80年代聚集在巴黎，在酒吧和舞厅表演，这首lambada舞曲LLORANDO SE FUE就是从巴黎的小酒店唱遍全世界的。另一种说法是Kaoma是个不太出名的女歌手，这首歌是被她作为单曲发行的。
Lambada舞蹈音乐欢快强烈，场面热情奔放。现场的音乐和情感，直接而粗犷，肢体语言丰富。进行Lambada舞蹈时，女舞者只穿短截比基尼式迷你裙，男舞者或穿背心或穿花衬衫，一般是热带海滩常见的装扮，使Lambada舞显得比较热辣性感。因此巴西曾经一度禁止在公众场合表演Lambada舞。进入90年代，Lambada舞在国际间极为流行，迅速席卷全球。2003年巴西国家综艺歌舞团到中国巡演，也表演了Lambada舞。

《乘着歌声的翅膀》创作于1834年。当时门德尔松在杜塞尔多夫担任指挥，完成了他作品第36号的六首歌曲，其中第二首《乘着歌声的翅膀》是他独唱歌曲中流传最广的一首。这首歌的歌词是海涅的一首抒情诗。全曲以清畅的旋律和由分解和弦构成的柔美的伴奏，描绘了一幅温馨而富有浪漫主义色彩的图景--乘着歌声的翅膀，跟亲爱的人一起前往恒河岸旁，在开满红花、玉莲、玫瑰、紫罗兰的宁静月夜，听着远处圣河发出的潺潺涛声，在椰林中饱享爱的欢悦、憧憬幸福的梦…… 曲中不时出现的下行大跳音程，生动地渲染了这美丽动人的情景。
