英语写作中级技巧：给参加与不参加我口语培训的朋友们的礼物(4)写作不用if

有没搞错,不用IF怎么写？不代表说一个IF都不用，但是在此给大家另外一个思路，如何转换。如果你是今天从这一篇开始读我的文章的话，请尽量从上一章开始，不然你会不明白此文用意。IF并不能说是一个完全绝对化的口语词，但用多或者写作时一开始就想写IF，则会用滥，影响行文。

最近一直在给准备考试的学生教写作，其实我们中国人在对付这类考试时，就算写了大篇从句，but也有，定语从句也有，if也用，也是可以拿到一个中等或者中上等分数的。以雅思考试为例，７分都是搞得定的。但是从学术研究与论文的角度，这种写法是绝对不够用的。不过各位在德国的同学，我亲自的感受是德国人的英语口语可以，但是写作则是非常非常一般，甚至说是那种国际大公司高级team leader写的英语东西也看得让人感觉像小学生的人也不在少数。毕竟写作上，他们也没有什么真正锻炼的机会。所以大家平和心态，只要持续的学习英语的听说读写，以自己的实际目标出发往上走，就一定可以对付职场。我相信我写的这些从句代替的东西，对要去英语国家学习，以及想在德国写好英语文章的同学来说会是很好的参考资料。

2)        原句：IF we want to buy that book, we must pay for it.

3)        重点中之重点：如果IF是用在条件句中（适用虚拟语气中），动词是were, should, had ,could等助动词时，IF是可以省略的，但此时后面的助动词提前到主语前面

原句：If I had known you had company, I would not have dropped                                 in .

: }( p: O/ ~2 c5 Z解析：此句为虚拟语气，德国中的虚拟语气的规则和用法和英语几乎是完全相同的，但唯一的不同就是词形的变化而已。相信大家都非常清楚德语的虚拟语气，所以如果遇到此类情况，则可以按此规则               

变形：
% @+ s) F" q% L4 @' AChange: Had I known you had company, I would not have dropped in.

3 E5 a/ E! g& N: v还有一种写法和说法，是英语中用得特别特别频繁，但是好多人可能已经忘记了为什么。在此可以看例子：

If anyone should come in my absence, please tell him to wait.

# w! ~8 k  F! ~Change: Should anyone come in my absence, please tell him to wait.


４） 又要提到用独立主格结构或者利用现在分词，过去分词来代替IF的用法了。大家如果留心，会发现高级写作中，大部分从句都被现在分词或者过去分词作伴随状态或者状语而代替，原因就是分词用法非常巧妙，美观，对行文和理解的帮助也非常大。在此我要提供给大家一个思路，就是写任何从句时，都想想是否可以用分词结构来代替。分词的用法我们是清楚的，但是真正有多少人会写出来，就是个问题。

If words are taken out of context, they are not very likely to mean the same as they do when they are in context

Change: Words taken out of context do not always mean what they do in context

第２句的写法中，如果将后面你写的that gover....从句改为一个更短更简洁的写法就最好了：）　再试试。嗯，从句能改成短语，名词则最好看。

看来第５句的写法大家都还没猜想到最好的方法。提示一下，如果可以，请用一个过去分词结构来改第５句，效果会最好。我出的每一道题都代表一个小思路哈哈，第４是就是用的现在分词，第５题则是过去分词：）有没想到呢？
