Internship/Traineeship for Kenwell Trading B.V.

Company profile:

Kenwell Trading is a wholesale company which specializes in lighting products. We are located in Amsterdam in the Netherlands. We provide good, reliable and harmonious indoor and outdoor lights to any type of user, anywhere in the world. The major business is involved broadly in China and Europe. Most of the suppliers are located China and most of the customers are located in the EU. The main clients can be divided into five groups: Lighting specialists, large mixed retailers, D.I.Y. stores, Garden centers, DOT com and mail-order companies.

Contents:

The Intern will be assigned to the purchasing department. The main objective is to improve the quality of the goods bought in China. By conducting and arranging inspections and setting up a good information flow between the Kenwell offices and production locations.

The main tasks concerning the intern are:
• Inspect the samples that come from China and make a report.
• Contact independent test bureaus to arrange certification and inspection
• Collect information regarding CE Standards and discuss these with suppliers and QC managers in China.
• Helping to improve the quality check and pre-shipment inspections. Monitor the QC procedure in China.
• Risk analysis of new products.
• Assisting the product development team during the process.
• Collecting relevant product information from the suppliers and prepare product data sheet and specify standards.
• Planning the QC checks at the production locations or at independent laboratories.


公司主要的经营项目是灯具的进出口，实习生会在采购部工作，主要负责和针对样品的检测，生产质量的控制等技术性方面的工作和处理一些日常的事务。所以我们希望寻找技术性方面的学生而不是商科的学生。当然如果对灯具有一定经验和了解的商科学生也可尝试。
