一次，誠與蘭往肇興購藥時，偶遇前清武狀元榮德於火車上被乘警凌辱，幸得誠解圍，誠欣賞德武藝超群，向彪力薦，德順利成為武館助教。但德與彪的繼室侯荷花多次起衝突，更被花諷刺，德深感受辱，氣憤難當。

. X4 w& I, D& q1 K1 V; _( B3 @誠為鼓勵德振作，不惜為德揑造出生地點，取得參加「廣東省拳王大賽」資格。德得以出賽，對未來充滿憧憬。於比賽前夕，德與花又起衝突，新仇舊怨下，德竟將花和彪殺死，棄屍製藥鐵房內，德更將彪的藥方據為己有。德殺人後臉不改容，更贏得「廣東省拳王」寶座，誠及蘭衷心替德高興。德勝出後名利雙收，托辭有一祖傳秘方，武術總會會長及警察局長以「七省拳王」為德的囊中物，因利之所在合作開設藥廠，並定名為「七省製藥」，德終於吐氣揚眉。, o* \6 V2 v1 M& u. C8 H
& ~9 E X r# S4 l" C( Y ~事隔多日，鐵房內傳出惡臭，眾人終於發現彪及花兩人的屍體，誠覺得德有可疑，欲引蛇出洞。誰知起變故，德安然無恙，誠卻從此音訊全無。蘭多番上告德，可惜苦無證據，而且德已成為「七省拳王」，又有警察局長包庇。蘭一方面要追查誠的下落，另一方面又要獨力支撐武館，為生計疲於奔命，受盡苦頭。兩子更被拐子夫婦捉去，幸而最終從拐子夫婦手中搶回次子棠，惜長子章從此下落不明。蘭傷痛中更面臨難產，終誕下龍鳳胎娟及良。. i6 U+ o, }# \. M7 t* T1 n
