Modularity

BOXER is unique due to its concept of interchangeable mission modules using a common drive module. This provides the baseline for further vehicle versions or modifications.

BOXER's modular characteristics are
        Self-contained; stand-alone capability
        Highly standardized design
        Easy to maintain, repair and to interchange even under operational conditions
        Individually configurable by the customer
        Growth potential to cope with additional future requirements

The BOXER programme currently comprises the following versions: Command Post, Armoured Personnel Carrier, Ambulance, Cargo and Battle Damage Repair vehicles. Within all of these versions a high degree of standardisation has been achieved thus optimising in-service support including spare provisioning, training, technical publications and Support and Test Equipment. New versions can be developed at low cost using the common vehicle platform.
