申请了去美国的访问签证J1 郁闷啊

本打算六月下旬去美国开会+访问两个月（7，8月份）， 5月20号面签，直到6月13号才补齐DS－2019表格。然后直到现在还是没有任何进展，网上查询状态显示Administrative Processing。于是今天又给使馆发了封邮件询问了签证的事情，回复的结果让人吐血啊。说一般需要三个月或更久，这是真的吗？？？
虽然我是理工科的，但又不属于化学，生物等敏感专业的，为毛卡我的签证啊！！！！因为访问期间的租房已定并付了定金，加上之前定的机票作废，所以如果还要等很久拿不到签证损失太大啦。啊啊啊，心灵受伤了。。。

请大家上来分享下经验，一般申请访问J1签证多久拿到啊？

Your application is undergoing legally mandated administrative processing in order to verify your qualifications for this visa. Administrative processing often lasts about 90 days, but in some instances it can take several months longer.  Please note that the duration and outcome of our continuing administrative processing is uncertain and there is no guarantee that a visa will be approved upon the completion of this processing.

While we cannot predict when the process will be completed, please be assured that the Consulate General and the Department of State are aware of your concerns.
