很多人都有教授资格的，但是没有大学聘任也没用的。反过来也是一样的，如果有空缺，也可以很快拿到资格并被聘任的

it really depends on research fields. in the fields of CS or some other fields of social science, even economics or chemistry, there is possibility for fresh PhDs to get a AP[Assistant Professor] in Tenure track system. But in biological fields, no way.

Two of my friends in the U.S., PhD in biostatistics, assistant professor immediately after getting the title.  Depends on which field really.

In China,  the law is 2 years after PhD, associate professor, if one has work experience before, then one year is enough.

这不奇怪. 我一朋友美国前10学校毕业,博士后一年后到另一个前10学校做助理教授. 美国只要是助理教授就能称Prof.,我朋友给我写信用的签名也是Prof..  她第一年就招了两个博士后, 几个博士,自己管一个实验室.
