大漠驼铃摇响千年回响，敦煌佛光映照文明长河。作为古丝绸之路的咽喉要地，敦煌莫高窟承载着“和平合作、开放包容、互学互鉴、互利共赢”的丝路精神，更见证着东西方文明的交融共生。“敦煌的女儿”樊锦诗先生扎根大漠数十载，以生命守护文明，让这份瑰宝在岁月中熠熠生辉。在合肥市包河区协和双语学校2026“冬之梦”迎新美术展中，“丝路敦煌——致敬敦煌的女儿樊锦诗”特别展以跨学科实践为桥，将千年丝路文明与习近平总书记提出的“一带一路”倡议相连，更深度践行协和教育中心“融合中西 和谐发展”的办学理念，让少年们以匠心复刻经典，用热爱传承精神，在方寸展厅间铺展新时代的文化长卷。

The camel bells of the great desert have echoed for millennia, while the Buddha's light of Dunhuang illuminates the river of civilisation. As a strategic gateway along the ancient Silk Road, the Mogao Caves of Dunhuang embody the Silk Road spirit of ‘peaceful cooperation, openness and inclusiveness, mutual learning and mutual benefit’, bearing witness to the symbiotic fusion of Eastern and Western civilisations. Ms. Fan Jinshi, known as the ‘Daughter of Dunhuang,’ has devoted decades to safeguarding this cultural treasure in the desert, ensuring its enduring brilliance through the ages. At SUIS Hefei Campus's 2026 ‘Winter Dream’ New Year Art Exhibition, the special exhibition ‘Silk Road Dunhuang: A Tribute to Fan Jinshi, Daughter of Dunhuang’ bridges millennia of Silk Road civilisation with General Secretary Xi Jinping's Belt and Road Initiative through interdisciplinary practice. This initiative profoundly embodies the Xiehe Education's philosophy of ‘Developing in Harmony where East meets West,’ empowering young artists to recreate classics with meticulous craftsmanship and perpetuate cultural spirit through passion. Within the compact exhibition space, they unfold a cultural panorama of the new era.

走进特别展，校课内兴趣选修岩彩社的九色鹿岩彩作品率先攫住目光，这是一场跨越学科、贯通中西的文化探寻。创作之初，同学们不仅研读敦煌文献中九色鹿“善有善报”的东方寓言，更借鉴西方艺术对材质肌理的研究方法，深入探究岩彩颜料的奥秘——从赤铁矿的赭红、孔雀石的翠绿等矿石的化学成分分析，到碾碎、过筛、调胶的传统工艺复原，每一步都藏着对敦煌艺术的敬畏，更彰显着中西艺术思维的碰撞交融。

Upon entering the special exhibition, the nine-coloured deer rock pigment artwork by the school CCA's Rock Colour Club immediately captures attention. This marks a cultural exploration spanning disciplines and bridging Eastern and Western traditions. In the creative process, the students not only studied the Eastern fable of the Nine-Coloured Deer from Dunhuang manuscripts, which embodies the principle of ‘good deeds beget good rewards,’ but also drew upon Western artistic methodologies for exploring material textures. They delved deeply into the mysteries of mineral pigments—from analysing the chemical compositions of ores like hematite (ochre red) and malachite (emerald green), to restoring traditional techniques for grinding, sieving, and and traditional glazing techniques. Each step embodies reverence for Dunhuang art while showcasing the collision and fusion of Eastern and Western artistic thought.














当矿物粉末调和的颜料层层晕染，传说中身披七彩霞光的神鹿跃然纸上，岩彩独有的晶亮光泽流转闪烁，恰似为神鹿缀上了一件由石头编织的华裳。这份将文学、科学、美术融为一体，兼具东方意境与西方科学探究精神的创作，正是对“融合中西 和谐发展”办学理念的生动诠释，也呼应了“一带一路”倡议中“文明互鉴”的核心精神。

As layers of mineral-powder pigments blend through gradation, the legendary deer, cloaked in seven-coloured radiance, leaps onto the paper. The unique crystalline lustre of mineral pigments shimmers and flows, as if adorning the sacred deer with a robe woven from stone. This creation, which unites literature, science and fine art while embodying both Eastern aesthetic sensibilities and Western scientific inquiry, vividly interprets the educational philosophy of ‘Developing in Harmony where East meets West.’ It also resonates with the core spirit of ‘civilisational mutual learning’ within the Belt and Road Initiative.

四年级全体学生共创的《敦煌花草纹样泥板壁画》，则是乡土情怀与丝路文明的奇妙碰撞，更是“和谐发展”理念的具象表达。创作前期，地理与美术学科深度融合：师生们实地采集合肥本地黏土，分析其黏性、细腻度等特性，对比敦煌壁画地仗层的材质密码，更参考西方当代艺术中大地艺术的创作思路，反复试验调和比例，最终让质朴的合肥黏土成为承载千年纹样的绝佳载体。美术课堂上，同学们循着敦煌壁画中的卷草、忍冬、宝相花等经典东方纹样，以灵动线条勾勒描摹，以矿物颜料填色晕染。

The Dunhuang Floral and Botanical Motif Clay Panel Mural, a collaborative creation by all P4 pupils, represents a remarkable fusion of local heritage and Silk Road civilisation, serving as a tangible embodiment of the concept of “Developing in Harmony”. During the preliminary creative phase, geography and fine arts disciplines were deeply integrated: teachers and students collected local Hefei clay in the field, analysing its adhesive properties and fineness, comparing it against the material composition of the ground layer in Dunhuang murals, and drawing inspiration from the creative approach of land art within contemporary Western art. Through repeated experimentation and proportioning, they ultimately transformed the rustic Hefei clay into an exceptional medium for bearing millennia-old patterns.



褪去浮华的泥板肌理，搭配稚拙却传神的花草图案，古韵与童真在此相拥，既展现了传统工艺与本土资源的创造性转化，更实现了东方美学精神与西方艺术技法的和谐共生。

The weathered texture of the clay tablets, paired with the naive yet expressive floral motifs, embraces ancient charm and childlike innocence. This not only showcases the creative transformation of traditional craftsmanship and local resources but also achieves a harmonious coexistence between Eastern aesthetic spirit and Western artistic techniques.

作为特别展的点睛之笔，四年级学生共创的飞天五卷轴，将文化传承推向高潮，尽显“融合中西”的教育底色。创作前，课堂上师生们追溯飞天形象的演变脉络，探究丝绸之路对东西方艺术传播的深远影响；敦煌学专题研究中，大家解读“天衣飞扬，满壁风动”的东方美学内涵，理解樊锦诗先生守护敦煌的初心；在实践过程中，同学们融合中国工笔的细腻线条、岩彩的厚重质感与西方绘画的光影表现手法，让飞天的衣袂飘带尽显飘逸灵动。

As the crowning glory of the special exhibition, the five scrolls depicting celestial maidens, collaboratively created by P4 pupils, brought cultural heritage to its zenith, fully showcasing the educational ethos of “East meets West”. Prior to creation, teachers and students traced the evolutionary trajectory of the flying apsaras imagery in class, exploring the profound influence of the Silk Road on the dissemination of Eastern and Western art. Within the specialised study of Dunhuang scholarship, participants interpreted the Eastern aesthetic essence encapsulated in the phrase ‘heavenly robes soaring, walls filled with wind-swept movement,’ gaining insight into Ms. Fan Jinshi's original aspiration in safeguarding Dunhuang. During the practical phase, students fused the delicate lines of Chinese fine brushwork, the rich texture of mineral pigments, and Western painting's techniques of light and shadow. This fusion allowed the flowing robes and ribbons of the flying apsaras to radiate an ethereal and dynamic grace.









传统装裱工艺与现代装置艺术的结合，更让千年飞天仿佛冲破时光阻隔，带着敦煌石窟的瑰丽与神秘，在少年笔下焕发出新的生机。这组作品不仅是艺术的呈现，更是对“一带一路”建设中“民心相通”理念的践行，用文化交流筑牢心灵的桥梁，也让“融合中西 和谐发展”的种子在孩子们心中生根发芽。

The fusion of traditional mounting techniques with contemporary installation art has enabled millennia-old flying apsaras to transcend temporal barriers. Imbued with the splendour and mystique of the Dunhuang caves, these figures have been reborn through the youthful brushstrokes, radiating renewed vitality. This collection of works is not merely an artistic presentation; it embodies the principle of ‘people-to-people connectivity’ within the Belt and Road Initiative. Through cultural exchange, it builds bridges of the heart, allowing the seeds of ‘Developing in Harmony where East meets West’ to take root and flourish within the children's minds.

P2E与P2G小朋友们创作的《盛世长安》与《张骞出使西域地图》，则为这场文化致敬添上了浓墨重彩的一笔。繁华的长安市井、浩荡的戈壁驼队，两幅作品遥相呼应，串起丝绸之路从起点到远方的文化脉络。地理学科的路线探究、历史学科的故事溯源、美术学科的创意表达，让孩子们以画笔为舟，重走“凿空之旅”，感受古丝路“亲善之路”“繁荣之路”的深厚底蕴。创作中，孩子们既汲取中国传统界画的严谨构图，又借鉴西方儿童绘画的自由笔触，让作品兼具历史的厚重与童真的灵动。这恰是“融合中西 和谐发展”办学理念的生动实践，也呼应了“一带一路”倡议对古丝路精神的继承与超越——从古代的经贸往来、文化交流，到如今的政策沟通、设施联通、贸易畅通、资金融通、民心相通，丝路精神在新时代不断焕发新的内涵。

The children's creations “The Golden Age of Chang'an” and “Map of Zhang Qian's Mission to the Western Regions”, produced through P2E and P2G initiatives, added a splendid flourish to this cultural tribute. The bustling streets of Chang'an and the majestic camel caravans across the Gobi Desert—these two works resonate in harmony, weaving together the cultural threads of the Silk Road from its origins to distant lands. Through geographical route exploration, historical narrative tracing, and artistic creative expression, children embark upon a journey of discovery, using their paintbrushes as vessels to retrace the pioneering paths of the ancient Silk Road. They thus experience the profound legacy of this “Road of Friendship” and “Road of Prosperity”. In their creative process, the children draw upon the rigorous composition of traditional Chinese architectural painting while incorporating the free-flowing brushwork characteristic of Western children's art, resulting in works that harmoniously blend historical depth with childlike vitality. This exemplifies the school's educational philosophy of ‘Developing in Harmony where East meets West,’ while also resonating with the Belt and Road Initiative's commitment to both honouring and transcending the spirit of the ancient Silk Road. From historical trade and cultural exchanges to contemporary policy coordination, infrastructure connectivity, unimpeded trade, financial integration, and people-to-people bonds, the Silk Road ethos continues to evolve with fresh significance in the modern era.







从岩彩矿石的成分分析到合肥黏土的质地探究，从敦煌故事的文学解读到丝路历史的地理溯源，这场特别展早已超越了美术展览的范畴，成为一次跨学科的文化浸润。少年们以匠心复刻敦煌美学，以热爱传承丝路精神，既是对樊锦诗先生“坚守大漠、甘于奉献、勇于担当、开拓进取”精神的致敬。正如习近平总书记所言，共建“一带一路”追求的是发展，崇尚的是共赢，传递的是希望。愿这份对传统文化的热爱与敬畏，如丝路薪火代代相传，让文明互鉴之花在“一带一路”的阳光大道上，在“融合中西 和谐发展”的教育沃土中，绽放出更加绚烂的光彩。

From the compositional analysis of mineral pigments to the textural exploration of Hefei clay, from the literary interpretation of Dunhuang narratives to the geographical tracing of Silk Road history, this special exhibition has long transcended the boundaries of a mere art display, evolving into an interdisciplinary cultural immersion. The youths meticulously recreate the aesthetics of Dunhuang with masterful craftsmanship, carrying forward the spirit of the Silk Road through their passion. This serves as a tribute to the ethos embodied by Ms. Fan Jinshi: steadfast dedication to the desert, selfless devotion, courageous responsibility, and pioneering enterprise. As General Secretary Xi Jinping has stated, the Belt and Road Initiative pursues development, champions mutual benefit, and conveys hope. May this devotion to and reverence for traditional culture be passed down through generations like the torch of the Silk Road, allowing the blossoms of mutual learning between civilisations to flourish ever more brilliantly along the sunlit path of the Belt and Road, and within the fertile soil of education that fosters the‘Developing in Harmony where East meets West.
