这个帖子是10自己对90年代乐坛的回顾，整个音乐风格可能不是大多数朋友喜欢的，那么就算是推荐吧。

Nirvana，摇滚乐坛Grunge风格的代表者。

Nirvana was an American rock band that was formed by singer/guitarist Kurt Cobain and bassist Krist Novoselic in Aberdeen, Washington. Nirvana went through a succession of drummers, with the longest-lasting being Dave Grohl, who joined the band in 1990.


1988年11月Nirvana推出了第一张Single

1991年四月，Nirvana正式和Geffen Records 唱片公司签约。同年九月，专集"Nevermind"发行，刚推出5周销量就已达到50万张，并且在排行榜上势如破竹，节节上升， 92年1月11日成为美国销量第一的唱片，全球的销量超过一千万大关。在商业上取得了巨大的成功。单曲“Smells Like Teen Spirit”在美国BillBoard公告排行榜上迅速攀升。(Nevermind)使Nirvana步向成功，同时也开始了一个神话和一场心灵的悲剧。

在(Nevermind)取得了巨大的成功之后，Nirvana把以前Singles的Side-B的和一些还没发行过的歌收集在一起，于1992年12月15日，推出专集"Incesticide"。这是一张典型的地下音乐专辑，他们表示推出这张唱片的目的是为了试试听众和电台DJ接受地下摇滚的极限。

1993年9月，请来了著名的反商业的制作人Steve Albini为他们作监制，发行了"In Utero"，这是摇滚史上最佳朋克专集之一，乐队配合的天衣无缝，把Kurt Cobain 内心的狂燥、愤怒、压抑、扭曲、病态、激烈的矛盾冲突完全显示了出来，同时也反映了KURT温柔、感性的一面。使Grunge风暴达到了极点，接近燃烧。Steve Albini试图录制一张原汁原味的朋克专辑。他运用了比以前更为丰富的音乐素材，并且在其核心蕴涵着袒露Cobain最深层的恐惧和脆弱的心，象“RAPE ME”这样个人化的歌曲的直面痛苦的展现，在现在作一回顾，也许可以看作是一种警告，它在当初被与这个烦恼的歌手最亲密的人们所忽视。但是作为艺术，这正是它的朋克所在。

1993年11月18日，Nirvana应邀为MTV 制作"Unplugged"演唱会，演出了一场经典的演唱会。
1994年3月1日，Nirvana在德国慕尼黑的演出成为乐队最后的一次公开表演。1994年4月8日，一个电工在 Kurt的住所发现了他的尸体，尸体身边带有一封遗书。西雅图警方证明Kurt Cobain于三天前自杀身亡。

最终，Nirvana留下的只是他们音乐里有的那种躁动不安和最深的孤独。

Pearl Jam is an American rock band that formed in Seattle, Washington in 1990. Since its inception, the band's line-up has included Eddie Vedder (lead vocals, guitar), Jeff Ament (bass guitar), Stone Gossard (rhythm guitar), and Mike McCready (lead guitar). The band's current drummer is Matt Cameron, formerly of Soundgarden, who has been with the band since 1998.

Formed after the demise of Ament and Gossard's previous band Mother Love Bone, Pearl Jam broke into the mainstream with its debut album Ten. One of the key bands of the grunge movement in the early 1990s, Pearl Jam was criticized early on - most notably by Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain - as being a corporate cash-in on the alternative rock explosion. Over the course of the band's career, however, its members became noted for their refusal to adhere to traditional music industry practices; including refusing to make music videos and engaging in a much-publicized boycott of Ticketmaster. In 2006, Rolling Stone described the band as having "spent much of the past decade deliberately tearing apart their own fame."

Since its inception, the band has sold 30 million records in the U.S.,and an estimated 60 million albums worldwide.Pearl Jam has outlasted many of its contemporaries from the alternative rock breakthrough of the early 1990s, and is considered one of the most influential bands of the decade,and "the most popular American rock & roll band of the '90s".

R.E.M. is an American rock band formed in Athens, Georgia, in 1980 by Michael Stipe (lead vocals), Peter Buck (guitar), Mike Mills (bass guitar), and Bill Berry (drums and percussion). R.E.M. was one of the first popular alternative rock bands, and gained early attention due to Buck's ringing, arpeggiated guitar style and Stipe's unclear vocals.


By the early 1990s, when alternative rock began to experience broad mainstream success, R.E.M. was viewed as a pioneer of the genre and released its two most commercially successful albums, Out of Time (1991) and Automatic for the People (1992), which veered from the band's established sound. R.E.M.'s 1994 Monster was a return to a more rock-oriented sound. The band began its first tour in six years to support the album; the tour was marred by medical emergencies suffered by three band members.


In 1996, R.E.M. re-signed with Warner Bros. for a reported US$80 million, at the time the most expensive recording contract in history. The following year, Bill Berry left the band amicably, with Buck, Mills, and Stipe continuing as a three-piece. Through some changes in musical style, the band continued its career into the next decade with mixed critical and commercial success.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers is an American alternative rock band formed in Los Angeles, California, in 1983. For most of its career, the band has consisted of vocalist Anthony Kiedis, guitarist John Frusciante, bassist Michael "Flea" Balzary, and drummer Chad Smith. The band's varied musical style has fused traditional rock and funk with various elements of heavy metal, punk rock, and psychedelic rock.


In addition to Kiedis and Flea, the group originally featured guitarist Hillel Slovak and drummer Jack Irons. However, Slovak died of a heroin overdose in 1988, resulting in Irons resigning.[1] Irons was replaced briefly by D. H. Peligro, former Dead Kennedys drummer, before the band found a permanent replacement in Chad Smith, while Slovak was replaced by up-and-coming guitarist Frusciante. This lineup recorded the band's fourth and fifth albums, 1989's Mother's Milk and 1991's Blood Sugar Sex Magik.


Blood Sugar Sex Magik was a critical success and sold over twelve million copies. However, Frusciante grew increasingly uncomfortable with the band's success and left the band abruptly in 1992. Kiedis, Flea, and Smith employed Dave Navarro of Jane's Addiction for their subsequent album, 1995's One Hot Minute. It failed, however, to match the critical acclaim of Blood Sugar Sex Magik and sold fewer than half the copies of its predecessor. Shortly afterwards, Navarro was fired from the band due to creative differences.


Frusciante, while absent from the band, developed a severe drug addiction and nearly died. In 1998, he completed rehabilitation and, at Flea's request, rejoined the band. The reunited foursome returned to the studio to record 1999's Californication, which went on to sell fifteen million units worldwide, becoming their most successful album to date. It was followed three years later with By the Way, which continued their success. In 2006, the group released the double album Stadium Arcadium, which eventually won six Grammys.

Oasis are an English rock band that formed in Manchester in 1991. The group was formed by Liam Gallagher (lead vocals), Paul Arthurs (guitar), Paul McGuigan (bass) and Tony McCarroll (drums), who were soon joined by Liam's older brother Noel Gallagher (lead guitar, vocals). Oasis have sold more than 50 million albums worldwide,and have had eight UK number one singles. The Gallagher brothers are the band's leading songwriters and the only continual members. The present lineup is completed by rhythm/lead guitarist and songwriter Gem Archer, guitarist and songwriter Andy Bell and as-yet unofficial drummer Zak Starkey.


The band initially gained prominence performing on the Manchester club circuit. They were signed to independent record label Creation Records and afterwards released their debut album Definitely Maybe in 1994. The following year, the band recorded (What's the Story) Morning Glory? (1995) with their new drummer Alan White, whilst rivalling with Britpop peers Blur in the charts. The Gallagher brothers were featured regularly in tabloid newspapers for their sibling rivalry and wild lifestyles, cultivating reputations both as bad boys and as a band of the people. At the height of their fame, Oasis' third album, Be Here Now (1997), reached number one in the UK charts, number two in the U.S. and also became the fastest-selling album in UK chart history, with almost half a million copies sold on the first day alone and with sales of just under 700,000 copies in its first week...............

Oasis并非一支勇于创新的乐队，而且喜欢在音乐里加入一些庄严伟岸的成份以炫耀自己的正统，就象《Wonderwall》所表现的那样。乐队表现最好的人还是Liam Gallagher，的确他的演唱是进步不少，更加丰富的感情和深刻的思索，也懂得不同的歌应该用不同的语调来唱了--宽容仁慈的《Don't Look Back in Anger》，百感交集的《Wonderwall》，狂妄的《Some Might Say》，幽默的《She's Electric》和积极阳光的《Morning Glory》。

............尽管述说了许多Oasis的不是，但是作为一支乐队来说，无疑他们是成功的，而且更加重要的影响就是告诉世界英国摇滚并没有灭亡，也不需要依赖美国的反入侵，最重要的一点，他们令本土摇滚又一次开始复兴起来，为创造更加纷呈迭秩的摇滚尽了自己的一份努力。
