I guess,

So, if you don't eat your main meal(chunky, difficult to digest)  first,  the waiter/waitress won't serve you the dessert.
: D0 h, `3 f$ F2 i: P6 D3 ?the lyrics MIGHT mean that if you(as students don't study hard), you won't get anything sweet from the life.
