how can you have any pudding if you don't eat your meat?
有人知道这句话什么意思么?一句英国的谚语,原意出于一首歌,叫做another brick in the wall.不过现在好像有新的意思,有知道的么?

谢谢LS的,我知道这个歌词.不过现在这句话好像不光是字面意思.由引申的意思.想问问,有没有知道引申的含义,急求!

I guess,
1. pudding is the dessert after the main course/meal. Meat(such as steak)  is the main course/meal.
So, if you don't eat your main meal(chunky, difficult to digest)  first,  the waiter/waitress won't serve you the dessert.
the lyrics MIGHT mean that if you(as students don't study hard), you won't get anything sweet from the life.

2. The lyrics is typical black English: double negative = negative (NOT positive). eg.. we don't need no education = we don't need education.

3. I did not spend time in research the background of this song,which could be interesting.

4. on surface,  the song is a defense for those drop-out kids. The society as a whole need lawyers and doctors,  as well as  ditch diggers.
