“一带一路”——我们共同的路 | 跨越山海 共享千年岐黄智慧 The Belt and Road Initiative – Our Shared Path | Transcending Mountains and Seas, Sharing Millennia-old Qi-Huang Wisdom of TCM

　

      2025年12月，天津打造的首家岐黄学院在刚果（布）启幕，该学院由天津中医药大学第一附属医院与刚果（布）中刚友好医院联合共建，聚焦医疗、培训、科研等核心功能，建设成惠及当地民众、深化中刚友谊的“小而美”精品工程。

　　In December 2025, Qi-Huang Institute of Medicine built by Tianjin, the first of its kind, was inaugurated in the Republic of the Congo. Co-founded by The First Teaching Hospital of Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Sino-Congolese Friendship Hospital in Brazzaville, the Institute focuses on core functions such as medical treatment, training and scientific research, and has developed into a “small but influential” project benefiting local people and strengthening friendship between the two countries.

　　作为天津市第32批援刚果（布）医疗队队长、岐黄学院中方执行院长，李晓东于2025年11月6日随队出征，肩负起主持岐黄学院运营的重任。“中医药是中华民族的瑰宝，也是世界人民的财富。”李晓东说，“想要让传统医药更好造福各国人民，就要真正融入当地社会，发挥中医药和当地传统医学的优势，坚持守正创新，用疗效赢得信任。”

　　As the head of Tianjin's 32nd Medical Aid Team to the Republic of the Congo and Chinese Executive Dean of Qi-Huang Institute of Medicine, Li Xiaodong began working here with his team on November 6, 2025. Unlike previous medical team assignments, they also need to take on the work of Qi-Huang Institute, which aims to share Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) with the local people. "TCM is a treasure of the Chinese nation and also a wealth for all the people around the world," said Li Xiaodong. " In order to enable TCM to benefit more people, it is imperative to make it accessible to more people of the world. During this process, people of other countries can compare the advantages of different medical systems and choose the one suitable for them.

　　在岐黄学院启动仪式上，刚果（布）卫生部办公厅主任穆卡萨特意前来体验中医适宜技术，短短几十分钟，穆卡萨腰部紧绷感大幅减轻。“我被腰痛困扰了很多年，尝试过许多治疗方式还是难缓不适。今天体验的针灸治疗太神奇了！没有复杂的流程，却有实实在在的疗效，这是来自中国的健康礼物！”穆卡萨竖起大拇指连连称赞，此后他不仅主动向身边亲友推荐中医，更全力支持岐黄学院建设，成为中医药在当地传播的“民间使者”。口口相传间，天津中医药的口碑在当地民众中迅速传开，已成为他们就医的新选择。

　　At the inauguration ceremony of Qi-Huang Institute, Mr. Mokassa, Chief of Staff to the Minister of Health of the Republic of the Congo, specifically came for a try of the TCM practical technologies. Within about twenty minutes, the tightness in his lower back was significantly relieved. "I have been suffered from lower back pain for many years and have tried numerous treatments with little relief. The acupuncture therapy I experienced today is just amazing! There are no complicated procedures, yet it has tangible therapeutic effects; this is really a gift for health from China!" Mr. Mokassa gave thumbs-up praise repeatedly. Since then, he has not only actively recommended TCM to his relatives and friends but also fully supported the Institute's development, becoming a "folk ambassador" for TCM's local dissemination. More and more people were benefited from the TCM treatment, and more and more people heard about it and came too. The reputation of Tianjin's TCM is spreading among local people and has become a new choice for their medical treatments.

　　如今，岐黄学院的诊室里，总是坐满了候诊的患者。科博·卢娜是岐黄学院康复科的助理医生，患者对中医的信任，她看在眼里：“学院开始运营一个月以来，累计接诊超过400人次，涉及超过10个病种。显著的疗效收获众多患者的好评，越来越多有类似困扰的患者慕名而来接受治疗。”

　　Today, the consulting rooms of Qi-Huang Institute of Medicine are always filled with waiting patients. Kombo Lune,  an assistant physician in the Rehabilitation Department of the Institute, has witnessed the patients' trust in TCM: "Since the Institute started operations a month ago, it has received a total of over 400 patient visits, covering more than 10 disease categories. The remarkable therapeutic effects have won widespread praise from numerous patients, and an increasing number of patients with similar problems are on their way coming here for treatment."

　　患者多了，医生人手紧缺，培养更多当地医生成了“头等大事”。“天津作为中国最早承派援外医疗队的省市之一，早在1967年就独立组队向刚果（布）持续派遣医疗队。如果说往期医疗队让中医在这里扎下根，那我们的任务就是让它开枝散叶。为当地打造一支‘带不走的医疗队’，是医疗队成员们共同的愿望。我们希望刚果（布）自己的医生，能够用中医技艺为自己的同胞诊疗治病。”李晓东说。

　　Along with the increasing number of patients came a shortage of doctors. Training more local doctors has become a "top priority." "As one of the earliest provinces or provincial-level municipalities of China to dispatch medical aid teams abroad, Tianjin has independently organized and continuously sent medical aid teams to the Republic of the Congo as early as 1967. If previous medical aid teams have helped TCM taking root in this African country, our job is to make it flourish. Building a "medical team of composed of local doctors" is the shared aspiration of all team members. We hope that the Congo's own doctors can diagnose and treat their compatriots using TCM technologies," said Li Xiaodong.

　　岐黄学院在运营初期即同步开设“岐黄第一课”，援非医疗队队员以“理论讲授+实操示范”相结合的模式，向刚果（布）的医学生现场讲授针灸、推拿等中医适宜技术的理论与应用，同时结合非洲传统医学经验优化诊疗方案，共享经验，取长补短，共同将传统医学发扬光大。授人以渔，让当地医生对中医药文化的信任更加深刻。

　　The Institute launched the "First Lesson in Qi-Huang" program in the early stage of its operation. In the lessons, members of the medical aid team adopted a model of "theoretical teaching + practical demonstration" in teaching TCM technologies such as acupuncture and tuina to Congolese medical students, integrating African traditional medical practices to optimize diagnosis and treatment, and sharing experiences, learning from each other's strengths, and jointly carrying forward traditional medicine of both sides. This way of teaching people how to fish rather than only giving them fish has deepened local doctors' trust in TCM culture.

　　这份不断延伸的信任，同样需要坚实的平台支撑。天津市卫生健康委依托天津医学高等专科学校国际教育学院组建“岐黄学院研究与推广中心”，通过双语教学资源研发、学术成果交流、合作模式开发等多元形式，助力岐黄学院的高质量建设。同时，学院还将与刚方共同推动产业深度合作，依托当地植物资源和天津药物研发、成果转化的优势，支持药材种植、加工和应用的本地化，实现保健食品和新资源食品开发，带动传统医药产业进步。

　　This ever-extending trust also requires solid platform support. Qi-Huang Institute Research and Promotion Center was established right for this cause, by Tianjin Municipal Health Commission, with support from School of International Education of Tianjin Medical College. Through diverse forms such as the development of bilingual teaching resources, research exchanges and the cooperation model exploration, the Center constructed the Institute with high-quality. At the same time, the Institute is also working with the Congolese side on promoting in-depth industrial cooperation. Leveraging local plant resources and Tianjin's advantages in medicine research and development as well as achievement transformation, the Center will support the localization of medicinal herbs' planting, processing and application, facilitate the development of health food and new resource food, as well as the traditional medicine industry.

　　“我们希望借助学院的专业力量，推动两国互学互鉴。中医和我们当地传统医学各有优势，通过合作，希望可以取长补短，共同将传统医学发扬光大。”提及未来发展，科博·卢娜充满期待。

　　"Looking ahead, with the support of the Institute’s expertise, we hope to promote exchanges and mutual learning two countries. Traditional Chinese Medicine and local traditional medicine each have their own strengths. By collaborating, we can complement each other and jointly contribute to the preservation of traditional medical practices." said Kombo Lune, full of expectations for future development.

　　Therapeutic efficacy builds trust; benevolent hearts connect people. The silver acupuncture needles and Chinese herbal medicine not only carry with them the Eastern wisdom of health care but also a mission of cultural exchange.
