health insurance problem--postdoc and spouse

my husband received the postdoc invitation already. The letter writes the stipend each month and says health insurance
should be bought when we arrive German.
But in the visa application, we should submit a health insurance certificate. How to get this document?
I want to buy the insurance which cover the pregnancy checkup and childbirth fees.

这种情况下,签证是不需要出示保险的,只需要提供教授的邀请信,因为邀请信上是写明工资和位置的,大使馆会知道既然你决定来了, 保险一定会在德国办理(因为你来之后,必须要延签证,如果没有保险,你是延签不了的),这种签证不同与探亲签证,后者需要申请签证的同时,出具保险证明.
至于你的保险,在来德之后办理.可以与你的丈夫一起办理家庭保险.这会包括你的生育与孩子的保险.
具体的保险公司及项目,最后来德国后问问你丈夫的老板,有的老板会推荐的.而且有的地方博士后位置的保险,老板会付一半,不知道当时你丈夫与老板是怎么谈这个问题.

踢踢, really thanks for your detailed reply.
My husband didn't discuss with boss about the salary, insurance and anything else. At first he applied the AvH foundation
and that institute said they are willing to be the host. But later, they said application for AvH takes too long time. So they
invite my husband to come there once available. Finally we find the salary in the invitation letter is the same as AvH and I
also have some stipend every month.
Last night, we sent email to boss to ask the health insurance certificate for visa application. Maybe they are confused. :)
